Xamarin For All
Xamarin has officially been purchased by Microsoft who quite promptly made it free for individual developers, open source projects, academic research, education, and small professional teams. What this means is now even more people can create native cross platform apps free of cost and using C#/.NET to do it. No longer will people have to stare at hideous ObjC/Swift code in Apple’s junky Xcode just to make an iOS app, and no longer will people have to use janktastic Java to create an Android app, if they don’t want to. They can code in one amazingly easy to use, easy to learn, powerful language that is C#, which Microsoft has been developing and improving upon for years.
